I found a Photoshop tutorial describing how to make photographs look like miniature dioramas, an effect called fake tilt-shift miniatures. It’s crazy! I did the photo below in a matter of like 2 minutes at work yesterday.

I was just reading about tilt-shift photos the other day! They are crazy cool. I haven’t tried to make my own yet. Yours looks awesome!
Did you find out about this through the Wil Wheaton blog? I saw that he posted about someone miniaturizing one of his photos.
I had seen tilt-shift miniatures before, specifically the work of Olivo Barbieri, but after seeing the photo on Wil Wheaton’s blog of the Japanese garden tilt-shift, I decided to research it and see if I could find out how to fake it in Photoshop.
