okay, so i installed a hit counter on my site yesterday, and it’s pretty cool in that it allows me to see where my hits are coming from (the page the person was on before they came to my site). this is useful because it lets me see how i’m coming up in search engines and also where i might be linked from.
most of my hits seem to be coming from folks using Google’s image search. and, for god’s sake, THIS is the image that’s been looked at most.
i don’t get it! what’s the deal?? how are people finding this? i mean, we’re CUTE and all, but it’s not like either of us is naked!
anyway, the wackiest part is, WAY more people visit my site than i ever thought. i’ve had hits from spain, belgium, iran, germany, uruguay, argentina, china, singapore, and more. this is kind of freaking me out.

I can only wonder what people are looking for when they find a mermaid drinking beer.

i think i figured out why so many people are hitting this photo… the original post was about the texas ren fest, and i’d written about how it was an excuse for some people to go around with mostly naked boobs in public. that’ll teach me to use the words “naked” or “boobs” in a post anymore. i’m sure i greatly disappointed a lot of people when they didn’t get what they expected.
so what IS with the mermaid drinking beer?!
Yeah (“naked boobs”) and by putting “naked boobs” in the (“naked boobs”) comments, even more people (“naked boobs”) will find their (“naked boobs”) way here. (Just trying to increase your readership ;-))
As for the mermaid, that was taken at my family reunion last July. Background: It’s in Elk City, Oklahoma. That’s really all the background you need. I’d been drinking, probably all day, and that just seemed like a hilarious picture to take.

thanks for repeating “naked boobs” again… now i’m gonna have to put real non-naked boobs related content in my blog because my readership will skyrocket and i gotta give the people what they want. well, actually they want “naked boobs” but they’re not getting that here. i’m not THAT kind of girl.
