I was unable to fall asleep until 4 a.m. last night (haha actually this morning I guess). Stupid brain would not shut up. Also, it’s Halloween in June, and I’m working on my Evil Genius pose.
I’m so, so, so angry about everything that the current regime is doing. It’s utterly exhausting and overwhelming, but I learned today of a different way I can view my anger that helps a little.
Having new eyeballs means that I can see when I go swimming! It’s amazing! Also I got a new hat but I had to buy it online, and I’m grumpy about that.
I realized not long ago that I have granted myself all three magic wishes related to my physical appearance (weight, hair, and eyesight) that I have been longing for since childhood. Let me explain.
This question about my future used to terrify me. I seemed to have no ability to imagine a future for myself, but it might have been because I didn’t want anything that I was supposed to want.
I said I was resurrecting my blog with the goal of leaving Facebook and Instagram... but I have changed my mind. Not about the blog - I am having a great time with it and it's here to stay. But I'm also going to stay on social media, at least for now.
I’ve been told countless times that I’m "too sensitive." My emotions and empathy can definitely get the better of me. But I also have found ways to frame sensitivity as a strength.
Doing things the same way every time brings me comfort, and breaks in those routines can be stressful -- but I'm finding ways to change and adapt.
