Fruitlessly shoveling sleet

We spent a good 45 minutes trying to clear the packed sleet out of our driveway with makeshift equipment (rake, push-broom, gardening spade, piece of plywood). It looks like we did almost nothing. At least I got some exercise, I guess. The residential streets are still solid ice, we are on day 3 of this, and it will be fun trying to drive to work tomorrow morning…
