when it rains it hails in baseball size chunks

OK, so we still haven’t got the computers’ ethernet ports fixed, nor do we have a new DSL modem or router yet. I am accessing the web now through my DIALUP connection. Good freaking god, this is torture!!

We got back in town on Thursday morning from a week in Seattle, where Doc went to a web conference and I goofed off for five days (which is part of why I haven’t written in almost two weeks), and discovered that our upstairs air conditioner was no longer working. It’s the kind of broken where it’s almost as expensive to repair as to replace. So we’ll probably replace… … just when you think you’re finally getting on top of your expenses, life does not fail to throw you another surprise. And then today our washing machine decided to spew water all over the floor. After taking the damn thing completely apart, we figured that it was probably because I was washing pillows and the thing just sort of overflowed. MY BAD.

So we’re sleeping downstairs on the sofas, where it’s cooler, and I’ve put my computer downstairs on the kitchen table, where it’s cooler, and I’m having to use a freaking dialup connection to have any sort of access to the internet GRRRRR

Can something else PLEASE go wrong this month???!!!
