dude, why do i feel so… icky?

I’m reading Michael Moore’s “Dude, Where’s My Country?” and I keep going back and forth between emotions: a) complete and utter disgust at the “President” and his administration; b) anger at being lied to; c) incredulity at some of the things that were covered up, downplayed, or exaggerated; d) insane laughter at the unbelievable ridiculousness of some of the things that have been said and done by people in positions of leadership.

And a growing realization that people in this country tend to believe anything they are told, as long as it’s repeated often enough.

Doesn’t anybody use their brain anymore??

Dammit, I went downstairs to get the book so that I could type in a few sentences that I found particularly appalling, and it was too dark to find the book, so I decided to fix the lamp that I broke a couple of weeks ago that we haven’t gotten around to fixing, and I had to dismantle two other lamps to find out how the broken one was supposed to go back together, and that took me about 30 minutes, and by that time I had completely forgotten about getting the book. That’s just the way my brain works (or doesn’t).
