I completed the first oil painting I have worked on in well over a year. I’m particularly happy with how the foliage looks, and I like the sky although the clouds were a mistake that I ended up just going with and it turned out okay.
The name comes from one of my favorite poems (The Waste Land by T.S. Eliot).
I just finished it this morning and the paint is still very wet, and I have to figure out where I am going to put it for the next few weeks to dry. Normally I’d leave it on my easel, but we are packing up everything in the upstairs of our house and moving it to the garage in preparation for getting new carpet. I can’t put a wet painting in a dusty dirty garage, so I’m a little stumped as to where I can temporarily hang it where it won’t get damaged, brushed up against, or dusty/dirty.
