moof! and other images

while cleaning out my images folder tonight in preparation for moving my site to another host, i came across the following:

back when i was using OS 9, this weird thing would happen where my network volumes would be named “Moof” in dialog boxes. i never figured out why, but other people reported the phenomenon too.

mom and dad and tiny little me (no, i was not born six feet tall), sporting the height of ’60s and ’70s fashion. mom was 26 in this photo and dad was 24. yikes. by the time mom was my age, i was in first grade. double yikes! notice the reel-to-reel tape player behind dad, the tinfoil on the rabbit ears, and the hand-crafted wine rack on top of the shelves.
