I spent the afternoon wandering around H Mart. It is my happy place. I picked up some longanisa (Filipino sausages with vinegar and garlic and pineapple, which Susan and Peter made for me a couple of weeks ago) and ingredients for this week’s pork and shrimp wonton soup, basil tofu with shallots and long beans, plus some bok choy, furikake, toasted sesame seeds, and other things we are low on.

H Mart has an entire double freezer case of durian. And canned silkworm pupae! I’m trying to be adventurous these days but I’m not quite there yet.
