New poem, unfinished

I wrote a thing this afternoon (different than the other, larger one I’m still writing). I pulled pieces from that larger work and made this tiny one.

I don’t know how finished this is and I would love any feedback or editorial comments (you can leave them anonymously if you want!). I like having an editor because the feedback always makes my work better.

I’m not sure yet about the title, either.

Leaving

When you pull on the thread
Leaving your little pieces like breadcrumbs
There is a bit of synchronicity like seeing that same moon
And the connection slowburns
It steamrolls
Leaving a bittersweet stone in my belly
