One thousand days

A new milestone: ONE THOUSAND DAYS of entering every single thing I eat into an app.

If I do some rough math, at three meals a day plus two snacks, with an average of maybe five items per meal although it’s probably more, but let’s just say five for simplicity’s sake, that’s twenty-five food entries a day, times one thousand… Yikes. 25,000+ separate items logged.

The good news is that through all this effort, I reached my goal weight and have maintained it for about a year. I am beyond happy about this. I feel good, and I look good. I am proud of myself.

The bad news is that because this is a “lifestyle change” as they say and not a phased “on a diet/off a diet” thing where I suddenly start to eat the way I used to now that I reached a magic weight number, I may have to log my meals foreverrrrrrrrrrrr.

I keep telling myself that 50 years of bad eating habits cannot be unlearned in a short amount of time. And so I persist.
