I made it to the top!

I got to do a fun thing at work today! One of my co-workers organized a lunch-time climbing wall session. I haven’t been climbing since probably 1999, when I was a lot younger and a lot stronger.

Now I’m ready to climb Yosemite! Who’s up for a summer trip with me? *

I was told by the teenage staff members that I climbed the “rainbow” which apparently means that you just grab the nearest hand-hold that looks good to you at the time. It’s harder to just grab all ones of the same color, which puts you on a path of a specific difficulty to the top.

I am pretty proud that I made it all the way to the top of the wall and rang the bell on two separate occasions! And then a third attempt I made it a little more than halfway before my arms gave out.

Not bad for a 50-something year old.
