A super easy way to keep up with your old pal Katy is to subscribe to my newsletter!
We are cleaning out our attic in preparation for a garage sale. I am finding a lot of stuff I haven’t seen in years, including my box of yearbooks and my “high school senior memory book” which was this super cheeseball thing the school gave us to fill out with photos, favorites, memories, etc.
It was so painfully cheesy that I did not take anything in it seriously, and tried to fill it out as sarcastically as possible (see “Favorite Jeans: DNA” entry below).
Half of the stuff in there I have no idea what I was talking about anymore, and the other half is painfully embarrassing (I was going to say “immature,” but I was seventeen years old, of course it was immature!). Much of it was in jokes, song lyrics, notes about who I had crushes on, me trying to sound a lot cooler/more nonchalant than I actually was, poetry, and lots of melodrama.
But I thought this page was fun! The prices of various things in 1990. I find it interesting that the price of an album and a pizza have remained pretty much the same over the past 35 years.
