Nostalgia to soothe the pain

My heart and soul hurt this week, for obvious reasons. I found a little joy this night looking through some old photos.

I think this was 5th grade. Some sort of competition where we had to build a device to collect pirate treasure from a big ring without entering it. I think our solution was heavily broom-based.
