I wore my amazing new shirt to Costco today. Got zero comments, at which I was both relieved (MAGA wackos shop at Costco too) and annoyed (come on, this is such a cool shirt!).
After checking out I stopped at the food court to get a hot dog to bring home as requested to Jamie, and two fountain drinks. As I was filling my cups I reached to the lid dispenser and there were none left. A man was reaching for lids at the same time; he scurried off to the other side of the food court. I had just finished filling my cups when the man reappeared, handed me two lids, and said, “I saw you needed lids too so I brought you these.”
It was such a little thing but it was also extremely kind! It pretty much made up for the annoyance I had felt on the drive over to Costco where someone had angrily sped around me on the shoulder of the road because apparently my 5 miles over the speed limit was just not fast enough for them.
