Wood chip rug

Doc and I walked into an estate sale last week and thought, “Why is there a pile of wood chips on the living room floor?” You might wonder the same thing from looking at these photos.

But wait! It’s not a big heap of shavings! It is… a rug. It is made of… that’s right, leather. There were multiple of these rugs throughout the house.

And of course my mind immediately went to:

• You can’t vacuum it. So you just… shake it?
• How easy would it be for bugs to hide in that?! VERY. You’d never know they were there. Shudder.
• These people do not have cats. Or kids. There’s no way to get barf out of that.
