Scenes from yesterday’s storm and its aftermath. We still have no power. Luckily we are all fine and no damage to our house or cars.

We were rudely awakened by sirens to a tornado warning at 6 a.m. Tuesday. We ran downstairs and huddled in the closet for about an hour. The power went out shortly after we got there. The tornado (or high winds 75MPH+) was rotating just to the northeast of our neighborhood.
No damage to our property, but our neighbor’s tree came down. Many many trees and branches down all over town; electrical wires and poles too (thus our lack of power).
Luckily we had some candles and some flashlights that were charged. And it wasn’t blazing hot outside yesterday so the house did not get too terribly warm, although it likely will be pretty uncomfortable today.
Today we are charging up batteries and flashlights at my office, and Doc is charging his car at a public station.
Will the power come back today? Who knows! We heard it could be 3+ days.
