okay, just exactly what the fuck is the point of celery salt?
i know what it is — salt + celery seeds, ground up.
but celery is yucky. why not just use regular salt? i mean, besides in chicken soup, why the hell would anyone taste something perfectly good and think “you know, it just needs a little CELERY taste. not the whole celery, but just celery essence.”

Contrary to all the previous commenters and with all due respect to our hostess, celery salt is good stuff. It makes a great seasoning on steaks and pork when combined with other spices.
However, my wife makes awful noises anytime I get celery salt anywhere near our kitchen. Those noises are similar to my word verification today: “uckhjft” and “eiunpvpi”. Luckily, she won’t be home tonight to have steak seasoned with celery salt.

Hey, smores are terrible until you take the chocolate out. But they are no good with celery salt.
Steak & celery salt is good. Maybe it is one of those wierd differences between the sexes thing. Like cucumbers or something.
