temporarily out of commission

i haven’t posted in a while because after installing tiger (os 10.4) on my g4, my internet connection no longer works. i’ve been trying to get it up and running for a week now with no luck. tonight i’m going out to get a replacement ethernet card (my built-in ethernet got fried in 2002 by a lightning strike) and hopefully that will solve my problem. i’m not counting on it though; apparently lots of people who’ve upgraded to tiger are having these dsl/router/internet issues. i might have to wait for 10.4.1.

so now i’m sending in a quick post from work. i’ve got lots to write about, but it’s going to have to wait until i’m once again wired 24/7. kathryn and brett got married last sunday. my mom and doc’s mom came to visit at the same time. and today is doc’s actual real final last day of work at o&w. more to come.
