don’t dream and drive

Monday night’s dream was awful. I was driving our car north on Custer Road towards 15th Street in Plano, and Doc was in the passenger seat. As we approached the intersection, there were some construction barriers and it narrowed to just the left lane, and then apparently traffic was supposed to go into the turn lane into the shopping center and then into a lane of opposing traffic. I thought that my lane continued, though, so I kept going and drove over a curb-like barrier and went to the intersection through the construction zone. I thought that I probably wasn’t suposed to have done that, but Doc told me that my arrow was green and to go ahead and make the left turn, so I did, and the car dipped down a few feet on the front passenger side into a torn up area of concrete and rebar. Then the car flipped over onto its roof. We were hanging upside down from the seats, I was scared to death, and Doc was snoring for some reason, and I couldn’t wake him up, I kept shaking him and screaming his name over and over again at the top of my lungs and he wouldn’t respond. Then I woke up and realized that he really was snoring next to me.

Today I feel tired, anemic, fat, and inarticulate. Sigh. Tonight Mars at perihelion is supposed to be the most spectacular (closest to Earth). I think there’s clouds outside, though.
