We had a busy but fun weekend. It turned out to be a full-on Leslie-and-Bruce weekend again. I hope they aren’t sick of us!!! Friday night we met up at the Apple Store to witness the rolling out of the brand new iPods and the iTunes Music Store. Then we met Rich and Riana and went to see the Ad-Libs comedy show.
Saturday Bruce and Leslie came by the garage sale that Mom held at our house (her neighborhood has banned garage sales). Then at 11 p.m. we went to Leslie’s Roller Disco Extravaganz-o-Rama at the Super Skate out in the middle of nowhere southeast of Dallas. It was quite fun. I sewed myself a spangly tube top and wore flared leg jeans. And… this should bring back memories: Slow songs, couples skate, reverse, Hokey Pokey, speed skate, soda in dixie cups, sore ankles, video games, and finding out that 30-somethings don’t bounce when we fall; we bruise.
Then today, we got up early (not by choice; I am sick with some sort of throat thing and Neko likes to get up early), took Neko to her vet appointment after playing Dungeon Siege for a couple of hours, went to a noon movie with Leslie and Bruce (X2 , which was really awesome!), then went with them to Super Thrift Town in Oak Cliff, then we all had dinner at Cafe Nostra on Lower Greenville, which had some of the greasiest thin crust pizza I’ve had in a long time.
