A super easy way to keep up with your old pal Katy is to subscribe to my newsletter!
Yesterday was quite an eventful day. I got about half of my hair chopped off yesterday afternoon (probably about 10-12 inches). Now it’s chin length. A few years ago I decided “No more straightening my hair! No more harsh chemicals! My hair is naturally curly, dammit, and I’m just going to let it be that way! I’m not going to spend all that time and energy in a vain struggle to make it into something it’s not!”
Well, when it’s loses that 10-12 inches of extra weight to pull it down, it goes fuzzing upwards into the nether planes of existence. So now, harsh chemicals are my friend, and my hair is just “very wavy.”
So then, I stopped off at home before picking Doc up from the train station, and locked myself out of the house, without car keys.
Then we went to pick up our newest family member from Lori’s house.
This is Neko. Actually, we’re not quite sure that’s her name yet. It might be Ripley. Or Muad’dib. She hasn’t quite decided yet.
Lori saved her from getting her little kitty butt kicked by some neighborhood bully cats, but couldn’t keep her due to allergies.
She is probably around 3 months old, utterly adorable, and can’t sit still. Right now she’s trying to dismember a tiny stuffed Tigger. Oh wait, she changed tactics, and is now tearing around the room with her little rattly Pink Floyd pig. Or is it a fat pink mouse? Cat toys can be awfully ambiguous.
