Wow — this whole book thing is just surreal. Today the publisher sent me their spring catalog. It’s a nice, four-color catalog on heavy glossy paper — and our book is on page TWO.
Page TWO! Out of, like, THIRTY! It’s not in alpha order or anything unbiased! They must have put us on page 2 for a reason!
It was surreal enough just seeing the cover for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It still doesn’t seem quite real, even though I’m starting to see publicity and everything for it. The catalog made it more real. I guess the final smack-in-the-face will be actually holding a copy of it in my hands.
